Real Family photography

Your days are full and time moves fast. But in your heart, you know how precious and fleeting this season of life is. You want to slow it down, even just for a moment, and hold on to how your family feels right now – the connection, love and joy you share. That’s where I come in.
Every session is thoughtfully tailored to your family and I guide you every step of the way. I photograph families with a relaxed, intuitive approach — outdoors, in beautiful natural settings where you can breathe, move, and simply be yourselves. No staged backdrops. No stiff posing. No pretence. Just fresh, fun, and heartfelt photography that reflects your family’s unique personality.
The result? Natural, beautiful images that feel unmistakably yours – the kind you’ll be proud to display. Not just files lost on a hard drive, but timeless artwork, carefully crafted to live in your home and be treasured for generations to come.

Lets start planning
"Photography for me is not looking, it's feeling. If you can't feel what you're looking at, then you're never going to get others to feel anything when they look at your pictures."
What you can expect to spend
Most families typically invest around €1,000 and beyond on their full photography experience, from custom session to finished artwork.
The Session Fee – what’s included
Your session fee is €150 (a supplement applies for larger family groups). This is payable in advance to secure your booking. Your session fee does not include any photos, but here’s what it does cover:
A pre-session consultation to plan and customise your session (let’s talk locations, outfits, and everything that makes your family unique)
A 2-hour slot in my calendar (with built-in flexibility if weather doesn’t play ball)
A relaxed, fully-guided and bespoke photo session (no awkward posing required)
A personal viewing and ordering appointment (be warned: there may be tears!)
My full design expertise to turn your images into beautiful end products (my favourite part!)
The session fee covers your experience. Photos and products are purchased separately – so you only purchase what you love!

Frequently asked questions
Here are some answers to common questions I'm asked. I hope you find this helpful, but if you still have a question, please do get in touch.
Still got a question? Get in touchWhen should I book?
There’s no wrong time to photograph your family, whether it’s a special occasion, or simply updating your family portraits as your children grow and change. From cosy winter vibes, long summer evenings, fresh spring blooms, or vibrant autumn leaves, every season offers its unique charms and I’m here for all of it!
Because I only take on a limited number of sessions each month, I recommend booking your session at least a few months in advance, especially for peak seasons like spring and autumn. This ensures we have the flexibility to plan your ideal session at the perfect time for your family.
Where does the session take place?
Family sessions typically take place outdoors, where your children have space to move, play, and be themselves. We’ll choose a beautiful natural location together, often close to home, or I’d be happy to recommend one of my many tried and tested locations.
In-home sessions may also be an option for certain families, particularly with younger children or babies. Wherever we shoot, the goal is always the same: a relaxed experience that allows you to simply enjoy time together as a family.
What if the weather is bad?
Living in Ireland, we know the weather can be a little unpredictable! If it’s just a light drizzle or chilly, we can often work around it – think cosy knits, boots, and a little extra layering. But if the weather is particularly poor (heavy rain, high winds, or very cold), we’ll simply reschedule for a better day. Your comfort and your family’s enjoyment always come first. In some cases, moving the session indoors to your home may also be an option. However, most families come to me because they have their heart set on an outdoor session, so I always build flexibility into my calendar for exactly this reason.
What if my children don’t behave?
Please don’t worry – As a mum of three, there is literally nothing I haven’t seen before! Children are unpredictable, and that’s exactly what makes each family sessions so unique. Plus, I never expect perfectly behaved children anyway. I want them to feel comfortable enough to be themselves – that’s when we capture those truly natural and beautiful expressions and moments – a spontaneous laugh, cuddle, or glance. I take a very relaxed, child-led, and playful approach to create space for those moments to unfold and your family’s personality to shine. And if they’re struggling, I have countless tricks up my sleeve to get them on board! So, all you need to do is get them there and leave the rest to me!
How long does the session last?
Family sessions typically last around 60–90 minutes, depending on your children’s ages, energy, and attention span. I always work at a pace that feels comfortable for everyone, with plenty of breaks and flexibility built in.
We’ll take however long we need to capture the perfect mix of relaxed family groupings, natural interactions, and individual portraits.
What should we wear?
What you wear plays an important role in creating timeless, cohesive images, that you’ll want to display in your home. After booking, you’ll receive my full style guide with advice on clothing choices, colour palettes, and how to coordinate without feeling too “matchy.”
In general, I recommend soft, muted tones, a mix of textures, and minimal patterns – clothing that photographs beautifully, without distraction. But most importantly, it should be clothing that feels like you, so be led by your personality. You should feel comfortable, confident, and able to move freely as you move and interact with your children.
I don’t dress you up in flowing gowns, your kids in trending outfits or your baby in cheesy props. I do give you style advice, which I believe makes all the difference to your final images. But I want you to be real. I want you look and feel like yourself. As these are the photos that will mean the most in years to come.
How will we view our photos?
Once your session is complete, I’ll carefully select and edit the best images with great attention to detail and artistic care.
Within three weeks, we’ll schedule your viewing and ordering appointment, where you can see your finished images and choose your favourites. I’ll guide you through options for prints, wall art, and other products, carefully curated to display beautifully in your home and designed to last for generations.
Don’t wait for “perfect” – these are the days to remember.
Family photography

We tell ourselves we’ll book the session after we lose some weight, find more time, feel more ready. There’s always a reason to put it off. But the truth is, there’s no better time than right now. These are the days you’ll one day call “the good old days.” Childhood doesn’t wait. And it’s the everyday, beautifully imperfect moments you’ll miss most. You’ll never regret capturing this season. Your future self – and your children – will be so grateful you did.
